Guild Cottage was started in 1907 as a home for orphans and children in distress which it remained until the early 1980’s. Over the past 20 years it has developed into a treatment centre for sexually abused and traumatised children. Over the past few years Guild Cottage has also developed a Community Outreach Programme with the objective to educate and empower the Community and thereby slow the rise in child abuse.

Our Mission Statment Is:
To use the professional capital of Guild Cottage staff to
1) Provide treatment for children who have been sexually abused or traumatised.
2) To work with the families of abuse victims with the aim of unification
3) To use our expertise to educate and empower communities in order to slow the rise in child abuse
